Joy Williams is a renowned celebrity hairstylist, salon owner, and beauty industry expert with over 20 years of professional experience. Known for her artistry and leadership, she served as the Lead Hairstylist for Miss USA for three consecutive years (2019–2021) and was the Lead Stylist for Miss Universe 2019, leaving a lasting impact on the pageant world.

In 2023, her brand Joy Williams Beauty was named the Official Hair and Makeup Sponsor for Miss Black USA, further solidifying her presence backstage at some of the most prestigious beauty and cultural events in the world. Joy has also led and contributed to hair and makeup teams at New York Fashion Week across multiple seasons.

Her work as a published beauty writer has appeared in major publications, including O Magazine, Cosmopolitan, and American Salon.

Joy was named New Hairstylist of the Year in 2021 and honored at the Texture Style Awards, where she made history for her groundbreaking contributions to styling all hair textures. A passionate advocate for equity in beauty, Joy serves as a Collaborative Coach with Texture vs. Race, championing inclusivity, accountability, and representation within the industry.

Her previous roles include International Texture Educator, Executive Master Educator, and Stage Artist for Farouk Systems, where she also made history as the first Black female On-Air Personality for CHI Haircare and a regular guest on the Home Shopping Network.

Today, Joy leads as the Creative Director of Joy Williams Beauty and Lead Educational Director at JWB Academy, mentoring the next generation of hair and makeup artists. Through her academy and freelance team, she provides emerging artists with opportunities to work on diverse projects across the country.
